4.                    Dr. Maqsudul Hasan Nuri

Dr. Maqsudul Hasan Nuri is currently serving as Senior Research fellow at IPRI. Previously he served as Senior Research Scholar at the Institute of Regional Studies, Islamabad (1986-2002). He holds MSc (International Relations) from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, MA (International Relations) from the Australian National University, Canberra, diploma courses from The Graduate International Studies Programme Geneva, Switzerland, and Ph.D (International Studies) from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He has had fellowships in Henry Stimson Centre, Washington DC, Copenhagen Peace Research Institute, Denmark and Orient Institute, Hamburg. His area of specialization is in conflict resolution in South Asia, Central Asia and the Gulf region. He is also visiting faculty member at the Quaid- e -Azam University and a columnist for The News, an English daily.

2.  28 February 2006 _____ 17 August 2006 worked as Professor, National Defense College (NDC), Islamabad, Pakistan, Duties include help in transformation of the National Defense College into National Defense University, Development of new departments, Designing of courses, Research, Research Supervision, Teaching/ Lecturing. I have re–joined IR Dept, UOP on 19 July 2006. I continue giving extended lectures at National Defence College, Islamabad at their post graduate level War Course. Areas covered include Strategic Landscape of Asia, The International System, The Concept of Security, International Humanitarian Law, European Union’s Security and Foreign Policies.
